Registration and Profile

When creating an account in FriendBets, we store your email address, a freely chosen username, your display name, and a cryptographically encrypted password (password hash). These data are processed solely to provide the service and for user authentication.

Push Notifications (Firebase Cloud Messaging)

To keep you updated on changes to your bets, invitations, and voting processes, we use Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM). For this purpose, a unique device token is registered. This token does not store any personal identification features of your device and can be revoked at any time by logging out of the app or disabling notifications.

Server Logs

Our web server logs protocol data (server logs) on every access to ensure secure system operation and troubleshooting. These logs include IP address, access timestamp, requested paths, and HTTP status codes. These logs are automatically deleted or anonymized after a short period.

4. Your Rights (Access, Rectification, and Erasure)

Under the applicable legal regulations, you have the right to request free information at any time about your stored personal data, their origin and recipients, and the purpose of the data processing, as well as a right to correct or delete these data.

You can delete your account and associated personal data at any time. You can use the account deletion form on this website or the corresponding feature in the settings section of the mobile app.

Upon deletion, your email address and username are completely anonymized (e.g. replaced by random identifiers like del-...) and your display name is set to "Deleted User". The bets, tips, and votes you submitted remain in the database so that balances and historical logs for the remaining group members remain intact, but these records are no longer linked to any identifiable person.

5. Data Security and Hosting

Our services are operated securely (via HTTPS) on servers managed by us and deployed via the Coolify hosting tool. We implement modern technical and organizational security measures to protect your data against accidental or intentional manipulation, loss, destruction, or unauthorized access.
